Gifting Guide (Part 1) Board Books
Books! They make the best presents! Because my book gifting ideas were overflowing, I broke up this Gift Guide into four sections to make it easier for you to search. First is the board book guide, where I share some of the best board books I've come across that would make fantastic gifts for the littlest readers in your life. Parts two and three are fiction picture books and nonfiction picture books. The final gifting guide includes chapter books, graphic novels, and middle-grade books. Be sure to reference back to each as I plan on expanding each list. All books in these lists have been released in the past year, with a few exceptions. If you need even more book gifting ideas, be sure to check out my list of the unique kids books that make amazing gifts. Happy reading and gifting!

Adorable board book featuring over 60 flaps to open throughout this seek-and-find adventure. The cat family has just moved into their new house but can't find the necessary supplies to bake cookies. They stop by each of their neighbors to ask for different ingredients. Readers get to help find the ingredients in each home. All the neighbors share with the cat family. Can you guess what the cat family does after all the cookies are baked? Deliver them to all their new neighbor friends, of course!
Look and Cook Snacks: A First Book of Recipes in Pictures
by Valorie Fisher
It is surprising to me how many cookbooks for kids don't have illustrated step-by-step recipe guides. That's why I was delighted to come across this cookbook for the littlest hands! The way the recipes are presented makes it possible for kids not yet reading to create a recipe from scratch. Now, grown-ups might want to look over it and chat with kids about recipes together beforehand, but what's fantastic about this book is that there's an option for kids wanting to be independent to figure it out on their own. Recipes are mostly simple and create new favorite dishes. (*Note: this is not a board book, but readers who check out board books would enjoy this one!)
